It's late autumn and Sam and Tusker, partners for twenty years, are on holiday. They travel through England in their old caravan and visit friends, family and places from the past. After Tusker was diagnosed with dementia two years ago, their lives have changed, jobs have ended and plans have been put on hold. Time together is the most important thing they have.
During the holiday trip, their individual ideas for the future begin to collide. Secrets are revealed, private plans unravel and the love for each other is tested like never before. Finally, they must confront the question of what it means to love one another in the face of an irreversible disease.
