Trapped in a tank with four young men in uniform, we are mercilessly present where decisions about life and death are to be made and executed in a matter of seconds. Like the soldiers in the tank, we get no other information about the outside world than what we can glimpse in the small sights, or perceive from the crackling radio contact with fellow soldiers. Protected by a thick hood, but cut off from reality. Four little scared men with muscles to crush everything around them.

Samuel Maoz tells of a war without heroes. A war he himself experienced and which he still struggles with. It took him over twenty years to get the memories at a distance, so it was possible to write a script and make this intense film.

Winner of the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival in 2009.

The film is not playable outside of Norway
