Far from Men

101 minutes 2014 7.2

Algeria, 1954. The idealistic French teacher Daru is ordered, during the war in Algeria, to escort a prisoner accused of murder to the nearest prison. The journey is both long and challenging and the two men are pursued by Arab riders and vengeful settlers. They are forced to stand together in a struggle for common freedom, which means that they form unexpected and strong ties, which are put to the test when Daru surrenders Mohamed to the authorities.
