A Brand New Life
French-Korean Ounie Lecomte is reviving with this movie reminiscent of her own past as an adoptive child. A young Korean girl is left without warning by her father in an orphanage, allegedly to give her the chance of a better life through adoption. Powerful Jinhee grieves, but refuses to accept that this may be anything but a bad misconception. The story is moving, full of sadness and thankfully free of evil.
The film is co-produced and developed in dialogue with Lee Chang-Dong, one of the foremost Korean directors of today.
