Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind

116 minutes 1984 8.0

This is a slightly more grown-up film from animation wizard Hayao Miyazaki, based on his own cartoon.

The action is set in a future where humans' recklessness towards mother earth finally got consequenses. Most of the world has been reduced to a barren radioactive no-man's land, with a few pockets of untouched nature. In one of these, the Valley of the Wind, the warrior princess Nausicaä lives in a peaceful existence that is suddenly broken when the valley is invaded. Not only must she try to defend her people, but also prevent the same crimes that led to the previous natural disaster from happening again! As always, this Miyazaki film also combines incredible animation with a fascinating action, which is more relevant than ever.

The film is not playable outside of Norway
