Maja is at full speed upwards. She is soon promoted to senior doctor and lives with her husband Claes and teenage son Magnus in a lovely house which will soon have a lavish extension. It comes as a shock when Claes says he wants a divorce, and suggests that Maja just log on to borgerservice.dk and choose the "instant divorce" form. Security-loving Maja is in freefall, trying to regain control of her life, and finds herself on shaky ground with ailing finances, a lover 20 years her junior and a teenage son in trouble.
