The Beaches of Agnès

112 minutes 2008 8.0

In Agnès Varda's first autobiographical documentary, the French director uses the entire color palette to paint a picture of her life. We get a unique insight into Varda's inner life through memories and stories from growing up in Belgium, about when she discovered the art of photography and about being part of the new French wave, life with Jacques Demy and missing him. How do you get old? Can grief and loss disappear when old acquaintances disappear? The memories are like a confused swarm of flies, she says.

The film is not playable outside of Norway
