In a peaceful American city, Maja (Noomi Rapace) and her husband (Chris Messina) are about to get back on their feet after all the horrific events she has been subjected to during World War II. One day a man (Joel Kinnaman) moves into the area with his family and Maja is convinced that he is the German soldier who tortured her and killed her sister. She kidnaps him for revenge, but has she found the right person?
