American Ultra is a fast-paced action comedy about Mike (Eisenberg), a seemingly unlucky, unmotivated guy with a penchant for drugs. The suburban life he lives with his girlfriend Phoebe (Stewart) is suddenly turned upside down.

What he himself does not know is that he is actually a well-trained secret agent. For a small second, he gains insight into his own past, and is thrown into a life-threatening operation at government level. Now he has to bring out his inner action hero to survive.
