The Riot

The year is 1907. The mining town of Sulitjelma was the northern "wild west", and the copper mines in the arctic areas was among the biggest and most relentless. 18-year-old Konrad is desperately looking for work, and he gets hired to work in the dangerous Hanken mine. The workers' conditions are brutal, and they don't improve when the cynical Olof Wenström takes over the mining company. A rebellion is on its way, and the socialist Helene Ugland stirs up the crowd. The capitalist Wenström has other plans. Konrad is suddenly at the center of the conflict.
