Irma Vep
René Vidal, a film director who was previously loved and praised, has reached the bottom after a number of film flops. His new project is a remake of the classic Les vampires, and in the lead role he has cast a star from Hong Kong, Maggie Cheung, but during the filming, nothing really goes according to plan, neither for Vidal nor Cheung.
Irma Vep is the award-winning director Olivier Assaya's (Personal Shopper, Sils Maria) big breakthrough film, with Jean-Pierre Léaud (On the Road to Life, Le Havre) as director René Vidal and Maggie Cheung (In the Mood for Love, Hero) in the role as a fictional version of itself.
