A proposed gas pipeline is creating divisions in the small town of Beaverfield. In addition, a snowstorm is forcing all residents to seek refuge in the local hotel. Now the newly arrived forester Finn and the postwoman Cecily must try to keep the peace and find out the truth behind a mysterious creature that has begun to terrorize society.
