Gold Coast

114 minutes 2015 5.3

The year is 1836, and the Danish botanist and visionary Fredrik Wulff travels to Africa on orders from the King of Denmark. The young man's faith is soon confronted with the harsh reality of slave trading and its inconceivable brutality.

The Gold Coast is shining a bright light on a gloomy and nowadays long forgotten part of Danish and Nordic history, namely the country's past as a colonial power - an era that is especially relevant today regarding the immigration debate.

The film is not playable outside of Norway
