Astérix and Obélix: God Save Britannia

111 minutes 2012 5.3

The year is 50 BC. Caesar is hungry for new conquests and he decides to invade the island located on the edge of the known world, the mysterious land known as Britain. The victory will be quick and total. Or… almost.

A single small village manages to withstand the attacks for a long time, but is quickly drained of energy. The British Queen Cordelia decides to send her faithful officer, Nutildax, to seek help. He goes to Gaul to another small village, known for its fierce opposition to the Romans.

In this village, Asterix and Obelix already have their hands full. The chief has given them the responsibility of raising his slubber by a nephew, Provoix. Their task is to make him a proper and responsible man, but unfortunately they are still far from complete. When Nutildax arrives to ask for help, the Gauls decide to give him a barrel of his famous potion. Asterix and Obelix will accompany him and barrel back to the UK - along with Provoix. This voyage seems to be an excellent opportunity to complete the young man's education. Unfortunately, nothing goes exactly as planned.
