We all need someone.

It's incredible what a child can manage, if they have to! Handling grief and sadness, taking care of themselves, raise money for food and rent and wash their clothes. Being their own mother - and father. But maybe the young girl in this week's Friday film doesn't have to manage it all - alone? 

Friday film: Scrapper

Georgie is only 12 years old, but manages the household all on her own, since her mother got sick and passed away. She lies to the people from Child Protection Services when they call, and steals bikes with her friend Ali to get money for food. Late at night she opens the secret door upstairs, where no one else is allowed in.

One day there is a man at the door claiming to be her biological father. Can Georgie let go and learn to trust him?
