This week's Friday film is a moving and occasionally funny drama about young people who experience every day as a mountain to be climbed, using the only language they really master: mathematics.

Autistic Nathan, played by Asa Butterfield, struggle to relate to other people. After a family tragedy, he lives alone with his mother. She does not always understand him and his whims. But his teacher does!
Nathan is entered into a training camp for young people who want to participate in the Mathematics Olympiad. In the company of others who share his social challenges and speak hos language, Nathan starts to understand that he is not just weird, but knowledgeable.
The film is inspired by Morgan Matthews' documentary Beautiful Young Minds. It is also loosely based on the real story of the mathematical genius Daniel Lightwing.
Critics saluted the film, and it has won both British and International Movie Awards.
