The destroyer USS Eldridge does not merely disappear from the radar, it disappears completely! Two young soldiers manage to jump ship and are transported through a magnetic field 41 years into the future. Confused and trapped in the future, they must close the time vortex opening in the atmosphere before it destroys the entire world...
