Walter and his beaver.
A successful business executive, father, and husband struggling with life comes across a hand puppet that looks like a beaver. The puppet becomes his main form of communication during the life crisis he is facing.

Walter Black is deeply depressed and has tried almost everything to overcome his mental problems. He has to move out of his family home, and his wife and children no longer trust him. He hits rock bottom and really sees no way out.
One day he happens to come across a beaver puppet and is able to distance himself from his problems enough to communicate with the world the way he needs to. The beaver soon proves to be a great success in every way.
Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster star in this at times moving and comical story.
