Hokage (Shadow of Fire) is a Japanese film that deals with the orphaned children of World War II. The film is a good example of an anti-war film, with a strong focus on the fear and the painful emotions that never leave many of those who have experienced war.

For those who love adventure and miss the music of David Bowie, the movie Labyrinth is spot on! This 80s classic is directed by Jim Henson (The Muppets) and is just as suitable for children as it is for nostalgic adults.

The teacher Akam lives a comfortable life in a collective in Oslo, until his uncle from Iran suddenly knocks on the door expecting shelter. The Norwegian film Uncle Jens deals with family complications, expectations, and cultural clashes.

In the documentary Life and Other Inventions, we meet the inventor Arnold Selnes. He sells bicycles in Oslo, but denies that he runs a bike shop.

All the Little Animals is the story of Bobby who is on the run from his violent stepfather. Along the way, he meets the hermit Mr. Summers, who has a very special team of animals. Christian Bale and John Hurt star in this thriller from 1998.
