What if a mere 13 minutes could have saved millions of lives?
What if Hitler never got his ideas spread, never had a great following, and lost his life before he managed to do so much harm? The world would have looked very different if he had succeeded, the idealistic carpenter Georg Elser.
World War 2 saw 55 million lives lost, and involved an enormous amount of human suffering. One man planned and attempted and assasination on Hitler in Munich in 1939, but by chance Hitler left the premises 13 minutes before the bomb went off.
Elser was the man wo could have stopped the war before it began. In the movie we follow him from conflict avoiding pasifist to the attempted assasination. The movie has been nominated for and has won several film awards.
