Friday film: Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me

We are in Twin Peaks, where FBI special agent Chester Desmond disappears without a trace during an investigation into the murder of a young woman. The following year evil forces in the little community haunts another young woman, Laura Palmer. The scene is set for special investigator Dale Cooper. 

The Twin Peaks-series is a perfect mix of horror, the supernatural, humour and soap opera, but the film has a much darker tone. It was nominated for the prestigious Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival. Writer/director David Lynch said, in an interview in The Guardian in 2014, that he wanted to tell Laura's story, as she never got to tell it herself.
