Don't Miss: Tårnet/ The Tower
The importance of diversity.
24 October marks the 79th annivesary of the creation of United Nations (UN). The day is celebrated to reinforce the agenda of UN and reconfirm the principals of the original UN-pact.
We often associate the UN with a diversity of cultures, cooperation and interaction between countries. There is a continuous work to create understanding and acceptance for different groups in our society.
In this context we would like to highlight a film that presents an important message about how refugees live and hope for the possibility to return home, and for a better future.
This week's film is Tårnet (The Tower), an animated film created by Norwegian script writer and director Mats Grorud. The film has been aptly described as a child's perspective on a problem created by adults. But it is in no way a film for children.
This moving, considerate and hopeful film does not take sides, but show us how generations hold on to hope while dreaming of a better future for their descendants.
The film was nominated awarded several international prices.
Watch it here.
