As the youngest in the British Royal family Albert must assume the role as king. His brother has abdicated the throne in order for him to live with his divorced mistress. Albert’s stutter is known within the family, but it has been a well-kept secret from the British public. But what happens the day he must give his first speech?
He reluctantly accepts his new role, but realizes that he must prepare for it. But he cannot do it alone…
The movie has been hailed for its visual style, directing and acting, where Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush play the King and his speech therapist.
