German war politics, moviestars at festival annd short films for children are some of the themes at Filmoteket this week.

In The Conference the Germans are calmly discussing the "final solution", as it was called. The fate of the jews was decided between the servings of sandwiches and coffee.

War is also the theme in Shuttlecock, where major James Prentiss reveals a dark family secret to his son during a World War 2 memorial service. 

Rallskanken is one out of two short films for children this week. He is an odd wanderer, and after 364 days he needs to rest before embarking on the next year's travels. 

The other short film this week is Mister Mjukis, the ugliest dog in the country. But the owner does not think so, and wants to enter his dog for the dog show.

The documentary Cannes Uncut concerns the famous film festival and its' nearly 80 years of history. To many of the stars and the audience, this is the biggest and most prestigious film festival of them all, held every year.

Long distance relationships are hard, something Gitl experiences in Hester Street from 1975. The film is a romantic drama depicting the Jewish community in Manhattan at the turn of the century.
